Two men were arrested after a driver lost control and crashed after fleeing from police.
Officers began following a Fiat Punto at about 9pm on Monday 2 March when its driver was spotted turning recklessly onto Ollerton Road near Worksop.
The car was then followed to the A57, where it was driven at speed away from officers and through a red light.
During one reckless overtaking manoeuvre, the car made contact with the side of a lorry.
Shortly after traversing onto the A60 towards the Mansfield, the driver lost control careered across the carriageway and down an embankment.
Two men, aged 18 and 19, were arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop, drug driving and theft. One was also arrested on suspicion of cannabis possession.
Neither received significant injuries.
Two suspects remain outstanding.
PC Mark Holland, of the Worksop neighbourhood policing team, said:
“The occupants of this vehicle had a lucky escape after the driver lost control and plunged down an embankment.
“As our investigation into what happened continues, we’d like to hear from any additional witnesses who may have seen this vehicle in motion and recorded dashcam footage of it.”
