Police were quick to make arrests after a report of a fight involving a knife.
Officers were called to Mapperley Road in Mapperley at around 11.20pm on Monday night after it was reported two people were fighting in a garden.
Nottinghamshire Police quickly arrived at the scene and arrested two men, aged 19 and 20, on suspicion of affray. The 19-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
One of the men had small suffered cuts to their back in the incident, however, his injuries are not life-threatening or life-altering.
Police are now working to establish the circumstances.
Inspector Karl Thomas, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Whenever a knife is used in an incident there is always the potentially for dangerous consequences and it is lucky that no one was seriously injured.
“Officers did an excellent job to quickly arrive at the scene and arrest two suspects and we are not looking for anyone else as part of our enquiries.
“As a force, Nottinghamshire Police is committed to tackling knife crime and we will always work hard to take appropriate action against anyone who commits a weapons offence.
“We are now making enquiries into this incident and I would encourage anyone who has any information on what happened to get in touch with us on 101 quoting incident number 1002 of 12 July 2021.”
