Two men were arrested on suspicion of drugs offences thanks to a member of the public.
Police were called shortly before 6pm yesterday (Friday) to an address in Manor Avenue, Stapleford, when suspects were seen loading suspected drug paraphernalia into the back of a van.
Officers pulled the van over a short time later and recovered an array of electrical and horticultural equipment typically used for growing cannabis.
Mobile phones, cash and suspected counterfeit cigarettes were also recovered. All items were seized.
Two men, aged 32 and 26, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class b drugs, and possessing counterfeit goods.
Both remain in police custody.
Sergeant Catherine Stafford, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was an excellent tip-off from a member of the public who was right to be suspicious.
“Thanks to their quick thinking we were very quickly able to bring two suspects into custody and take a large amount of growing equipment out of circulation. Our investigation will now continue.”
