Assault victim suffers facial injuries in Nottingham street attack

Police are appealing for information after a man was left with facial injuries following a street assault.

The victim was walking along Milton Street, close to the junction with Forman Street, in Nottingham city centre, when he was approached by two men.

The pair started talking to the victim but one became aggressive and punched him to the floor.

The victim suffered injuries to his eye and nose after the incident at around 1:45 am on 20 December 2022.

The suspect is described as a black male, aged between 18-25 and of a slim build. The victim gave the same description as the other man and both were wearing black hoodies.

Police Constable Abbie Osborne, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a violent assault that left a young man shaken and with painful injuries to his face.

“We are currently investigating what happened in the moments before, during and after this incident and urge any witnesses to come forward.”

Anyone with information is asked to call the police on 101 quoting incident 38 of 20 December 2022.
