The reserve has announced in an update that access is hazardous.
A spokesperson said:
‘Following an on-site assessment this afternoon, we have taken the decision to keep Attenborough Nature Centre closed until Saturday 28th October at 9am.
‘While water levels on the reserve itself have receded somewhat over the last 24 hours, many parts are still not safely accessible and flood warnings remain in place across the area with further rain forecast throughout the week.
‘Due to significant standing water on Barton Lane, we are also strongly advising against trying to access the reserve by car. We will continue to monitor the situation and update as necessary as the week progresses.’
