Award-winning food at Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival at Trent Bridge

The culinary cast is led by MemSaab.

A host of award-winning eateries have committed to Trent Bridge’s inaugural hosting of the Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival, which commences in less than a week’s time.

The event, a popular fixture in the Nottingham calendar, arrives at the historic venue for the first time from Wednesday 13 to Saturday 16 October.

The culinary cast is led by MemSaab, who will bring flavours honed in their two-rosette city-centre restaurant to the home of Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club.

Patrons whose palates favour a touch of spice will also be well-served by Jerk Station’s Caribbean street food, while Symon Chanakis will offer a range of Greek-inspired dishes.

Hearty English fayre will be well represented, with the Jukebox Café serving up traditional breakfasts, Romanos offering burgers and hog roasts, and lighter appetites catered for by Emma’s Cobs, Just Crisps and the Big Cheese Melt Stall.

Those seeking a meat-free option, meanwhile, can sample the acclaimed vegan produce of Derbyshire’s Vork Pies.

“While the extensive selection of over 1,000 beers and ciders understandably takes centre stage, this is a festival to suit all tastes – and a diverse selection of food is a really important part of that,” said Nottinghamshire Commercial Director Michael Temple.

“From beers, ciders and gins for the discerning drinker to celebrated food producers, we’re proud to be providing a suitably historic stage to showcase Nottingham’s artisan brewers, chefs and creatives at their very best.

“Steve Westby (Nottingham CAMRA Chairman) and his team have worked tirelessly over the years to build this festival into a highlight of our city’s calendar. We can’t wait to welcome one and all next week.”

The festival will take place across the concourses, courtyards and stands of Trent Bridge, with guided tours permitting a glimpse into the inner sanctum of the world-renowned ground.

The historic Pavilion, meanwhile, will allow attendees to sample a range of beers, ales and ciders accompanied by pitchside vistas.
