Beeston arrest after woman slashes victim with ceramic ornament

A 23-year-old woman has been arrested on supicion of wounding after she smashed a ceramic ornament on the floor and then used a piece of it to slash the victim’s chest following an arguement.

The victim had been celebrating St Patrick’s Day and returned to her home at around 2.30am yesterday morning (Wednesday 18 March 2020) on Clifford Avenue in Beeston.

The victim was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre for treatment. Her injuries aren’t believed to be life altering.

Officers attended the 999 call quickly and arrested the woman who remains in police custody.
