The incident is one of several vandalism issues the Trust has had to face oil the past year or so.
Pictures show damage to the hide doors, damage to the frame and littering around the outside of the hide.
The Delta Hide overlooks the Delta, this hide is a 20 minute walk from the Nature Centre and was specifically designed to provide bat roosts. It also offers great views for bird watchers. Visitors are required to register for the access code in the Nature Centre before they walk to this hide.
Other hides at the reserve are the Sand Martin, Kingfisher and Tower Hides.
Notts Wildlife Trust said:
‘Sorry to report that the Delta Bird watching hide at Attenborough Nature Reserve has been vandalised and will be out of action until at least after the Bank Holiday.’
