A suspect has been arrested after police found boxes of ‘laughing gas’ canisters inside the boot of a car.
Response officers spotted the vehicle in Sneinton Dale, Sneinton, at around 11pm on Wednesday (1 November).
The car stopped in Port Arthur Road where officers arrested the driver and carried out a search of the vehicle.
They found a large amount of cash in a bag on the back seat and the boxes of nitrous oxide were located in the boot.
A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a psychoactive substance.
Inspector Rich Markham, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“It is important people understand that inhaling nitrous oxide, or laughing gas, isn’t just harmless fun but could actually put their health at risk.
“Selling these cannisters is a crime and anyone who does this should expect to be prosecuted.
“We have arrested a suspect in connection with this incident and our inquiries are ongoing.”
