Police officers arrested two teenagers at 5.25pm on Wednesday 19 January.
Officers have made two arrests and recovered a blade after reports a boy was chased with a knife.
Police were called to Beechdale Retail Park, Beechdale, to reports that a group were chasing the victim around the local area.
Officers swiftly arrived and searched the area and arrested a 15-year-old on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon. He was further arrested on suspicion of possessing a class B substance after officers recovered a quantity of cannabis.
Another 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon.
Officers also recovered a knife following a search of the surroundings. An investigation is ongoing into the incident, which happened at around 5.25pm on Wednesday (19 January 2022).
Sergeant Janine Barnes, from Nottinghamshire Police, said : “Officers did a fantastic job, getting to the scene quickly after the call, arresting two suspects and also recovering a knife, which is now safely out of circulation.
“Keeping the public safe is our priority. Incidents like this are clearly distressing and will always elicit a swift police response. We would, however, reassure people that we believe those thought to be involved are in some way known to each other and there is no wider risk.
“We continue to conduct CCTV and area enquiries, which have been ongoing throughout Thursday morning, and anyone who witnessed the incident or has information is asked to call 101, quoting incident 565 of 19 January 2022).
