Partner in the business Tim Clarke told us:

‘As lifelong friends myself and the other guys involved have always dreamt about starting a business together, and how our ideas could be best applied to make a positive impact on our local community.

‘The four of us are all from Nottingham but have worked and trained in various gyms and studios throughout the UK and Australia.

‘Our experiences have made us want to stand out from the crowd and do things differently. Unlike a typical gym where members effectively pay money to rent some equipment each month, and can often grow bored, or be intimidated, our customer centred and inclusive service caters for all abilities, where our members’ results and experiences are at the forefront of everything we do.

‘Further to this, what makes our story a little more inspiring and unique is our head coach and joint owner Nik Gibbons.

Nik Gibbons

‘Nik sadly lost one of his legs due to two bouts of bone cancer in 2017. Although this caused significant challenges in his everyday life he was determined to pick himself up again and help those who had gone through something similar.

‘He joined rehab groups, was a motivator and generally someone that people could talk to when they felt low. When Nik returned to work, as a Quantity Surveyor at the time, he quickly realised that this was no longer the place for him. He decided to quit his job and to retrain as a Personal Trainer, satisfying his desire to help those who were ready to make a change whatever their circumstances.

‘Nik really typifies what we’re all about; equipping people with the necessary tools, guidance and support to make a change even when at first it may seem impossible.

‘We officially opened the studio to members on the 6th January, however, our launch party will be later this month on the 24th.

In addition, former Nottingham Forest captain Chris Cohen is a member of the studio and an advocate of what we do. Chris will be cutting the ribbon with us on the 24th.
