Mala Malu is an exciting new Nottingham city venue that is holding its launch party this Friday.
Located in the old CookieShake venue on Upper Parliament Street they are serving a range of hand-crafted cocktails and Asian Bao.
Mala Malu’s focus will be on a small menu of tapas style plates of Bao prepared to a high standard – the idea is to share multiple plates with your group.
A fun and innovative cocktail menu has also been designed to accompany the plates.
Mala Malu will cook the Bao to order, taking a variety of flavours from around Asia; choose from prawn gyoza topped with seaweed and siracha mayo or char siu buns topped with hoi sin sauce, cucumber and spring onion.
Mala Malu will also offer small plate portions of Korean chicken in sweet and spicy sauce topped with sesame seeds.
There are Vegan and gluten-free options available too, such as vegetable and straw mushroom buns topped with green and red chilli sauce and vegetable gyozas topped with seaweed – there’s even a vegan Korean chicken option for those that want it.
Mala Malu have invested £50,000 in a brand new fit out which gives the venue a feeling of a relaxed indoor garden.
With it being a small venue they have really managed to create that intimate feel.
They will also have a DJ on every Friday and Saturday night to give the venue a party vibe.
Mala Malu will be giving away free glasses of prosecco and free Bao tasters as part of their launch night which starts at 7pm this Friday, with the free food tasters finishing at 9 pm.
