A man has arrived at the retail park in the direction of Western Boulevard, walked by Costa Coffee, then used a hammer to smash the windscreens of two parked British Gas vans.

Police have now released a CCTV image of a man which could help them with their inquiries.

He has been described as a white man, bald, around 5ft 8ins tall, in his 50s, wearing black joggers, a dark coloured top, trainers and carrying a green rucksack.

PC Maria Georgiou-Scott, who is investigating the incident, said: “This was a completely unnecessary act which would have undoubtedly caused problems for those working for British Gas who needed these vans to carry out their roles within the community.

“We have released a CCTV image of a man which could help us with our inquiries. Do you recognise the man in the picture? Are you the man in the picture? We would encourage you to contact Nottinghamshire Police as soon as possible.”

Anyone with information can call 101 quoting incident number 0344 of the 5 September 2023 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
