Officers made an arrest within five minutes of a reported burglary after chasing down a suspect on foot.
They had been alerted to a break-in at a student property in Osmaston Street in Lenton at 11.30pm on Friday 2 December 2022.
It was reported a man left the address through a window empty-handed before going straight to another house nearby, in Hart Street, where a further burglary took place.
Officers were quickly on scene and searched the area. A suspect was identified who was chased, stopped, detained and searched.
A number of stolen goods, including jewellery and electrical items, were recovered and a man was arrested.

Zahid Ali Khan, aged 47, of Noel Street, Hyson Green, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Monday (5 December 2022) charged with two counts of burglary.
He was remanded in custody and is next due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on Friday 9 December 2022.
Detective Inspector Chris Berryman, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a shining example of good old-fashioned police teamwork which promptly resulted in the arrest of a suspect and seizure of suspected stolen goods.
