Detectives identified Smith from CCTV of the incidents and found that he had some of the stolen items on him when he was arrested.

Speaking after Smith’s sentencing, detective Constable Julian Eminson-Ferry, who led the investigation said: “Burglary is an invasive crime which can be very upsetting for its victims.

“Bringing offenders to justice is a priority for Nottinghamshire Police, and we will continue to investigate these crimes thoroughly.”
