Police have arrested two men after responding a report of a man being attacked within an address in Sherwood last night.
It was reported that two men entered the address in Caythorpe Rise and assaulted the victim. It happened shortly after 9.30 pm.
The victim was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre for treatment. His injuries are not currently believed to be life-threatening or life-altering.
A 25-year-old man, who ran from the scene but was detained following a brief foot chase, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and criminal damage.
A 30-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and possession of a Class A drug.
Both men remain in custody.
Detective Sergeant Jon Kerry, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of this incident and I’d urge anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area around the time or who has any information which could help us with our investigation to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 867 of 2 June 2020.”
