Neighbourhood police arrested a suspect when they raided and shut down a cannabis factory.
Officers acted on vital intelligence to execute a warrant on a home in Orange Gardens, The Meadows, at around 12.20 pm on Sunday (11 June).
When officers raided the property they found a large number of cannabis plants growing in two bedrooms.
A 21-year-old man who was found inside the house was arrested on suspicion of being involved in the production of a Class B drug.
Sergeant Richard Hunter, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Cannabis production is far from harmless. It often has links to wider, serious criminality and invariably involves vulnerable people being exploited to work as gardeners for the grows in appalling conditions.
“If you have similar concerns about a property close to where you live, please get in touch with officers.
“If anyone has any information which could help with our investigation, please call police on 101, quoting incident number 309 of 11 June 2023, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
All the cannabis seized from the address will be destroyed and the equipment used to power the grow removed.
