Nottinghamshire Police’s rural teams reported the incident on social media.
The update reads:
‘Earlier this week this vehicle was abandoned.
‘The occupants and their dog last seen running away across nearby fields.
I’m sure our colleagues at Newark Police would welcome contact from the occupants in order to discuss returning their vehicle. Call 101.
