Two men were arrested and a large amount of cash seized after a car was stopped and searched on a petrol station forecourt.
Armed Response Officers followed the vehicle into the ASDA filling station on Priestic Road, Sutton-in-Ashfield, shortly after 1pm on Tuesday 6 January and blocked it in.
Two suspects began walking away but were swiftly detained by officers.
A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered a large amount of cash. A quantity of cannabis was found nearby, and deal bags of powder were discovered on one of the suspects.
Two men, aged 25 and 21, were arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs, driving offences, and money laundering.
The younger man was also detained on suspicion of failing to stop for officers in Birmingham.
Both were later released on bail and investigations are ongoing.

Inspector Chris Chell, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“This was an excellent piece of work by officers, who used pre-emptive tactics to box this vehicle in and prevent a pursuit.
“A large amount of cash and other significant evidence was seized – proving once again that anyone transporting illicit drugs and cash on our roads is taking a very big risk indeed.”
