Residents and visitors parking in Rushcliffe’s car parks can now use cashless parking with an easy to use mobile phone service.

There is no longer the need for motorists to hunt for change and place a printed ticket in their vehicle as digital, mobile payments are also available thanks to the RingGo scheme installed by Rushcliffe Borough Council.

Customers can choose to pay via the scheme’s app, by calling, using a text message or paying online at www.myringgo.co.uk across all of the Council’s seven Pay and Display car parks at:

  • West Bridgford: Bridgford Road, Gordon Road and Nursery/Albert Road car parks
  • Rushcliffe Country Park
  • Keyworth: Bunny Lane car park
  • Bingham: Needham Street and Union Street car parks

Where the council offers a free period within its pay and display car parks, the motorist can obtain a free voucher from the parking machine to take advantage of this free period.

Cllr Gordon Moore, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Finance at the authority welcomed the scheme and praised its practicality.

He said: “This system gives residents in Rushcliffe and visitors alike the flexibility needed when arriving at any of our car parks in the Borough with the option of an even more convenient way to park and pay.

“Car park users will not have to worry about having the right amount of change with them and instead can use a credit or debit card and pay by phone or online in a matter of minutes in car parks where a charge is applicable.

“Whilst the conventional method of paying with coins will still be available, this cashless scheme is a great update that will really benefit the thousands of motorists who use the car parks week in, week out.”
