Police investigating an attempted break-in have released images featuring four men they would like to speak with.
Officers were called to an address in Sherwood Vale, Mapperley, at around 6pm on Wednesday 6 July after suspected intruders were disturbed.
Pictures shows a single man approach the property and knock on the door. He is joined shortly afterwards by three other men – all wearing gloves – who passed through a side gate to the back of the property.
The men hurriedly left the scene after they were disturbed by the homeowners.
Detectives investigating what happened believe that somebody should recognise the men.
Detective Inspector Kayne Rukas, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Burglary offences are extremely upsetting for victims and we work hard to thoroughly investigate every case that is reported to us.
“This was a particularly upsetting incident for the victim and we are absolutely determined to get justice for her.
“These CCTV images are very clear and the men featured in them appear very distinctive. Do you know them or have they called at your house in the recent past?
“If so we urgently want to hear from you.”
Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 647 of 6 July 2022 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
Burglary numbers in Nottinghamshire have fallen significantly since the introduction of two specialist teams of detectives who work every day to bring offenders to justice.
Other police techniques to reduce offending include the funding of improved security measures for residents, and the use of court orders that to restrict the activities of known burglars.
