CCTV appeal after woman had bank cards stolen from her car in Nottingham

A woman had her bank cards stolen from her car before a man allegedly entered her home.

It was reported the cards were declined at a newsagents in Hyson Green an hour later after the offender tried to buy items in store, which then notified the victim who rang the police.

Her driving licence, car keys and house keys were also allegedly stolen during the incident.

Officers have now issued a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

Police Constable Imran Ahmed of Nottinghamshire Police is leading the investigation. He said: “We hope someone may recognise the man pictured in connection with the incident.

“The bank cards were taken from a woman’s car parked in Finley Street in Bulwell at around 10.15pm on 15 April 2021.

“Burglary is one of the most upsetting crimes anyone can suffer and it leaves the home owner with a series of practical and emotional issues to resolve.

“We would like to speak to the man pictured to help with our enquiries.

“If anyone recognises him please call 101, quoting incident number 649 of 16 April 2021.”
