CCTV image releases after East Bridgford service station burglary

CCTV captured the moments a man smashed through the front door of a service station with a hammer before stealing booze from the shop.

After making it inside the service station in Fosse Way, East Bridgford, the man calmly walks around the shop floor and goes behind the till, taking alcohol from the shelves before leaving.

Nottinghamshire Police is appealing for any information which could help the investigation into the incident.

Officers were called at just after 5.30am on Friday 26 June 2020 following the shop alarm being triggered shortly before. The break-in reportedly happened at around 4.45am that morning.

PC Liam O’Kane, investigating the incident, said: “We are continuing to investigate this burglary and have followed up a number of lines of enquiry and are now asking the public for any information they may have.

“A quantity of alcohol was stolen and a door was broken, which of course had to be repaired.

“We will thoroughly investigate any such reports and consider any information which could help us bring the offender to justice.”
