CCTV images released after weapon incident in Nottingham city centre

Police have released images of a suspect following an incident involving a weapon in Nottingham city centre.

Officers were called to Victoria Street at around 8:40 pm on 3 May 2023 after receiving reports of violent disorder.

An unknown man reportedly attempted to assault multiple people with an unidentified weapon during the incident.

Nobody suffered any injuries, with the man then leaving the scene following the offence.

An investigation has since been launched, with police now releasing images of a suspect they’d like to speak to in connection with the incident.

PC Ian Jones, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “It is important that anyone who recognises the man in these pictures comes forward immediately.

“There is absolutely no excuse for anyone to behave in the violent manner that was on show during this incident.

“We would ask anyone that saw what happened, or has any further information, to contact the police on 101, quoting incident 786 of 3 May 2023.

“Information can also be reported anonymously to Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111.”
