Nottinghamshire Police is appealing for witnesses who recognise or may have seen a man ( pictured ) following an incident in the city centre.
Detective Constable Laura McCullough is leading the investigation.
She said: “The identity of this person is pertinent to an investigation regarding offences of wounding and burglary, which took place between 9-11pm on 4 October at North Church Street, Nottingham.
“The man pictured may also be linked to a dark coloured VW Golf.
“The victim in this case sustained head injuries and a large sum of cash was stolen.
“Thankfully, they are now recovering well.
“Whilst a detailed investigation is continuing, we are appealing for anyone with information about this incident or anyone who can recognise this male to come forward.
“Please call 101, quoting incident number 755 of 4 October or alternatively, confidentially via Crimestoppers.”
