Ceilidh in West Bridgford benefits the RNLI

On Friday 8th February, the West Bridgford branch of the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) held a Ceilidh at the Poppy and Pint on Pierrepont Road West Bridgford.

This annual event has become so popular that tickets sold out as soon as they went on sale.

The music was provided by that well-known local band Bellows Scratchitt & Pluckitt.

The caller was Charlie Coran who had the task of synchronizing all the dancers timing and movements.

He soon had them under control with everyone moving in the same direction at the same time.

Hot food was provided during the interval, when a raffle also took place.

The event was sponsored by the The Poppy & Pint management who provided the room free of charge and donated a raffle prize, as did Thorntons.

The band and caller who gave their time free of charge.

The RNLI would like to thank them and John Hawkins who organised the event and all who attended for their time and support.
