After national media coverage today the cinema operator has released this statement.
The business said:
‘We can confirm we are considering the temporary closure of our U.K. and US cinemas, but a final decision has not yet been reached.
‘Once a decision has been made we will update all staff and customers as soon as we can.’
Reports suggested that cinema operator’s decision was based on the futher delay in releasing the latest James Bond movie Time to Die.
ineworld is the world’s second largest cinema operator, and the largest in the UK with 120 sites including at The Cornerhouse in Nottingham.
It also owns the Picturehouse chain.
