Four people were arrested and suspected class A drugs were recovered when a car was stopped and searched by police.
Officers acting on intelligence stopped the car at a petrol station forecourt on the A46 near Winthorpe, Newark, at around 7.35pm yesterday (Thursday) evening.
The car and its occupants were searched and an 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing class A drugs (heroin) with intent to supply.
Three other men aged 42, 21 and 19 were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs.
They remain in police custody as investigations continue.
Sergeant Stuart Howe, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Drug related crime is a blight on our communities, and we remain focussed on disrupting the activities of people we believe may be involved in the sale of illegal substances.
“Every day we are gathering intelligence about individuals and vehicles of concern, and we will continue to proactively follow up on that information.”
Any additional witnesses to this event are asked to call 101 quoting incident 612 of 2 June 2022.
