Police have announced a dispersal order covering Clifton and surrounding areas, giving officers powers to direct people to leave and stay away for a specified period.
The force said the measures began at 3.14pm on Thursday 17 September and would be in place throughout the weekend. Officers will be visible in the area to deter anti-social behaviour and take action where necessary.
The Section 34 dispersal order has been authorised under the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. Police said these orders are authorised by an inspector when there are increased concerns about anti-social behaviour, crime or disorder.
Under the powers, officers can direct people to leave a defined area and specify the route they must take.
Police said children under the age of 16 can also be taken home or to a place of safety, with their parents or guardians notified.
Anyone who refuses to leave, returns after being dispersed or fails to follow instructions without a reasonable excuse may be arrested.
