Cllr Simon Robinson re-elected as Rushcliffe Borough Council leader


At Rushcliffe Borough Council’s Full Council meeting on Tuesday night, Cllr Robinson was re-elected as Council Leader for the 2019/20 Council year.

Cllr Robinson has led the Council for two years as well as being the elected member for Edwalton.

Cllr Robinson said 

“I am delighted to be re-elected as Leader of the Council. Despite the turmoil on the national stage, we are very proud of Rushcliffe maintaining its position as one of the top performing Councils in the Country.

“Our recent nomination as Council of The Year is testament to the hard work of both staff and Members in ensuring Rushcliffe remains one of the top places to live in the UK.

“I look forward to building on this success in the year ahead”

Cllr Robinson has also appointed a new Cabinet Member, Cllr Rob Inglis to manage Community Safety, Licencing and Environmental Health.
