Community invited to West Bridgford remembrance event

The Mayor of Rushcliffe Cllr Sue Mallender is inviting the community to join her and local dignitaries in observing a two minute silence to mark Armistice Day this Thursday, 11 November.

All are welcome to attend the Remembrance event on Central Avenue in West Bridgford which begins shortly before 11am with a bugler playing The Last Post on the stroke of the hour – and the two minute reflection.

Cllr Mallender said: “It is so important that we pay our respects for Armistice Day, espcially after COVID restrictions meant we were not able to in this way in 2020.
