A police cordon is currently in place in Retford while officers and partner agencies investigate a suspicious item.
‘Road closures have been set up in and around Chesterfield Canal and Raglan Road. People are advised to avoid the area while officers are at the scene.
‘There is currently no threat to the public but as a precaution roads in the vicinity have been cordoned off.
‘We’d like to thank the public in advance for their patience.’
