Cotgrave man charged with assaulting emergency worker

A man is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today charged with assaulting an emergency worker after a Detention Officer was allegedly spat at and physically assaulted.

Joshua Adams-Jackson, 23, of Cotgrave, was arrested in connection with a separate incident at around 12am on Sunday 20 September.

He is charged with assaulting an emergency worker and two counts of criminal damage in connection with incidents that are reported to have happened in Bridewell custody suite.

Adams-Jackson has been remanded in custody pending his court appearance today.

Inspector Mark Stanley, of Nottinghamshire Police’s City Prisoner Handling Team, said: “Emergency worker assaults are taken incredibly seriously and Nottinghamshire Police will always look to take action against those found to committing such offences.”
