Nottingham City Council has announced a decision involving the Highbank Community Centre on Farnborough Road, Clifton.
A spokesperson for Footprints said:
‘We will be moving from our current centre to our new home in Clifton, which will become the brand-new Footprints Centre, home of Footprints Conductive Education and Community Hub (formally Highbank Community Centre on Farnborough Road in Clifton).
‘Our new location will be our own site and brings exciting opportunities, with better facilities for all of the families we support, organisations we work with and the local community.
‘At our new Footprints Centre, we hope to have three session rooms, a wellbeing coffee bar for our families and the community, new facilities including a family room and function room, as well as outdoor education areas.
‘Our new centre also importantly has improved building accessibility, plenty of flat level parking and is only a two minute walk from the tram stop.
‘We’ve been working behind the scenes for a number of years, as finding a home for our charity is one of our key priorities, and we’re absolutely delighted to have found this in Clifton.
‘We won’t be moving straight away as there is a little work to do to get the centre ready…and soon we’ll be recruiting for a Footprints team of volunteers to help us get the centre ready….!
The council has approved a seven-year lease agreement with Footprints Conductive Education Centre Ltd, a move expected to bring benefits to both the community and the council’s strategic asset management.
