Via East Midlands TeamGrit has another run to go before Christmas Day – with a risk of frost and minus road temperatures, teams will be out on Main Routes this evening from 6.30pm.
The forecast gives cloudy, then dry spells during the evening and overnight, perhaps becoming clearer for a time towards the end of the night; particularly
further south, where road surface temperatures (RSTs) could locally fall close to zero.
Via East Midlands said:
‘We then expect Christmas Day to start largely dry and becoming increasingly sunny later through the morning.
‘However, it may get colder again, and it is looking like the teams will be needed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day when RSTs are forecast to remain near zero. Teams are on 24-hour standby and constantly monitoring the forecasts. Please watch the local reports for significant weather changes.
