Council issues statement after Newark town centre anti-social behaviour

The statement comes after anti-social behaviour issues in the town centre.

A spokesperson said:

‘As a District Council we are fully committed to tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB). We will not let perpetrators of mindless acts of ASB cause a blight on our district.

‘We are aware of a group of young people causing ASB issues in Newark Town Centre and are currently investigating – but we need you to report your experiences to us.

‘Any personal information you provide will be kept completely anonymous, but your help is essential in holding these individuals to account.

‘If you’ve witnessed anything in or around Newark or seen a group of young people causing issues in retail, fast food, or public service premises, please get in touch.
