Rates in the city have been falling and stand at 272 per 100,000 residents.
Nottingham City Council Deputy Leader, Cllr Sally Longford said:
‘It is great news that six weeks after having the highest rates in the country, Nottingham’s Covid cases have this week dropped to 270 per 100,000 – below the national average of 272 per 100,000.
‘This is testament to the great efforts people in the city are making to stick to the rules and I thank everyone who is doing that and helping to keep others safe and protect the NHS locally.
‘We must continue sticking to the national lockdown rules and the basics of hands, face space to continue to drive cases down and be in the best possible position to enjoy fewer restrictions in the run-up to Christmas and beyond.’
