Traffic Officers have held traffic to sort the issue out.
Highways England said at 7:33 am on Wednesday 13 May
‘Traffic is currently held Northbound between J17 and J18 M1 due to loose cows close to the carriageway.
‘Traffic Officers are on scene and are working with local teams to try and mooove the cows to a place of safety. We will release traffic as soon as its safe to do so.’
