Planned industrial action by the RMT union on Saturday 18 October has been suspended.
CrossCountry said:
‘However, it is too late to reinstate the normal timetable, and CrossCountry will only run a limited service with significant disruption still expected.
‘Passengers are advised to travel on alternative days and anyone planning to travel with CrossCountry on Saturday 18 October should check their journey before travel with National Rail Enquiries or on our Travel Information page, where further details of our planned service provision can be found.
‘The RMT union has also announced planned industrial action on Saturday 1 November.
‘We continue to assess the impact on our services and will provide updates on what this will mean for CrossCountry passengers when available.’
