Police investigating a serious assault have urged motorists to check their dash-cam footage.
A 16-year-old boy was attacked at the junction of St Bartholomews Road and Blue Bell Hill Road, St Ann’s, on Tuesday (6 June).
The victim had to be taken to hospital after sustaining serious injuries that aren’t believed to be life-altering.
As many as three people are understood to have been involved in the assault, which happened at some point between 9.30pm and 10pm.
A police investigation has since been launched, with officers appealing for anyone who drove through the area at the time of the attack to share any dash-cam footage they have with the police.
Detective Constable Wendy Brown, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “It is absolutely essential that anyone who saw what happened or has any information that could assist our investigation contacts us right away.
“This attack took place at a junction between two roads that drivers will have been passing through around the time of the incident.
“With this in mind, we’d ask that any motorists who drove through the St Bartholomews Road and Blue Bell Hill Road areas between 9.30pm and 10pm on 6 June checks their dash-cam footage, if they have it set up.
“Any bit of information, however small or insignificant it might seem, could really assist our investigation, so we’d ask that you share this footage with us, along with any relevant mobile phone or doorbell-cam footage too.”
