Meanwhile PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) have launched this petition against the Nottinghamshire chicken farm plans.
PETA say,
‘Proposals for an intensive chicken farm in Rushcliffe, Nottinghamshire, will, if approved, result in the slaughter of 1.76 million birds every year – an average of more than 33,000 a week. Previous PETA investigations have shown that factory farms are a living hell for chickens, and this one will be no different.’
