Dealer jailed after throwing stash from kitchen window

A drug dealer has been jailed after unsuccessfully attempting to dispose of his stash by throwing it from a kitchen window.

Aaron Sisson was at an address in Patterdale Court, Chilwell, on 28 May this year when we arrived to arrest his father, Nigel, in connection with an incident the day before.

Aaron, now aged 19, became aggressive and uncooperative with us before charging towards a kitchen window as if to dive through it.

Thanks to the quick reactions of a detective at the scene, he was immediately pulled back across the worktop and arrested.

The reason for his actions soon became clear when a PCSO stationed outside reported seeing two sausage-sized packages fall to the ground. The cling-film-wrapped bundles were later found to contain individual wraps of Class A drugs.

Police had been led to the block of flats by an incident the previous day.

A mobile phone found at the scene was later linked to Nigel Sisson and led to his arrest.
The device contained a wealth of messages related to the illegal supply of drugs.

A second phone belonging to his son, Aaron, was also found to contain messages relating to drug dealing. A dealer list was also recovered from the address.

Aaron Sisson, of Bramcote Lane, Chilwell, pleaded guilty to supplying cocaine and heroin, and possessing cocaine and heroin with intent to supply.

Appearing at Nottingham Crown Court on Tuesday, 14 October, he was sentenced to five years in custody.

Nigel Sisson, aged 38, of Quarry Avenue, Nottingham, pleaded guilty to supplying heroin. He was found not guilty of two other charges—supplying cocaine and supplying heroin—but had previously been jailed for conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.

Appearing in the dock at an earlier hearing, he was sentenced to five years and eight months.
Detective Constable James Gill said: “Father and son were clearly both engaged in the trade in illegal drugs and have now paid the price for their actions.

“Nigel Sisson was already very well known to us and was the initial target in this investigation. Aaron, however, may consider himself unlucky to have suddenly found himself surrounded by police officers.

“Unfortunately for him, even his frantic effort to dispose of his stash was in vain – thanks to the multitude of additional evidence we were able to uncover.”
