Police rescued the animal while they waited for the RSPCA.
Police in the Radford Road neighbourhood said:
‘We received reports of a small deer in and around the Forest Recreation Ground this today.
‘It made its way to the entrance of Asda’s car park before 2 of our PCSO’s managed to keep it safe before it was safely sedated & is now with the RSCPA.’
