The muntjac popped into Trent Barton’s Manvers Street depot.
A spokesperson said:
‘Last Wednesday, we had an unexpected visitor to our Manvers Street engineering depot in Nottingham.
‘We’ve got no ‘ideer’ how he got there but he certainly gave our team the run-around.
‘Once they managed to capture him safely, they wrapped him up in coats and gave him plenty to drink.
‘He was then fondly named Gerald by our team!’
‘There’s no way we could have ‘hoofed’ him out, so after a quick visit to the vets, our friends at Brinsley Animal Rescue have kindly offered to take him in.
‘We’ve been ‘fawning’ over Gerald the Manvers Street muntjac all week and thought our friends from across #trentbartonland would want to be introduced! Ok, that’s enough of the deer puns.’
