National Highways said:
‘Two of (4) lanes are closed on the M1 south between J21A (Leicester) and J21 ( #M69) due to a broken down tipper truck.
‘Leicestershire Police are on scene – traffic officers and recovery agents are en route.
‘Please allow extra time for your journey as delays of 35 minutes on the approach.’
AA Roadwatch:
‘Severe delays of 37 minutes and delays increasing on M1 Southbound between J22 A50 (Coalville / Ashby-De-La-Zouch) and M1 (Leicester Forest East Services).
‘Average speed five mph.’
‘Two lanes closed and queueing traffic due to stalled vehicle on M1 Southbound between J22 A50 (Coalville / Ashby-De-La-Zouch) and J21 M69 (Leicester). Lanes three and four (of four) are closed.’
