Delivery driver threatened with a knife in Nottingham

A robbery suspect was tracked down and arrested minutes after a delivery driver reported being threatened with a knife.

Officers were called at around 5am this morning (Saturday) to an address in Wigman Road, Bilborough, after the victim reported that food had been taken without payment.

An 18-year-old man was arrested shortly afterwards on suspicion of robbery and remains in police custody.

The victim was unharmed.

Detective Sergeant Alana Scott, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a horrible experience for the victim and we are determined to get to the bottom of what happened.

“The officers involved did a great job to locate a suspect so quickly and bring his safely into custody.

“All reports of knife crime are treated with the utmost seriousness and we are working every day to reduce the amount of weapons that are carried on our streets.”
