Up to ten inches of snow is forecast today in Derbyshire.
Some schools in Derbyshire have already closed today. Most schools will advise parents via text of any other closures, but contact the school if you’re worried for updates.
Derbyshire Police is advising people to travel only if necessary.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning today. That means that driving conditions are hazardous. It also means that untreated cycle paths and footpaths are expected to be icy.
The good news is that this arctic spell is meant to be short lived.
