Digger stolen from Radcliffe construction site

A digger was taken in a burglary at a construction site.

Workers discovered the machinery was missing when they returned to the site on Monday 2 August 2021.

Officers were called to Carter Avenue, Radcliffe-on-Trent, just before 4pm and are investigating the incident.

It is believed the digger was stolen over the weekend, between 3.30pm on Friday (30 July 2021) and 3pm on Monday.

Neighbourhood Policing Inspector for Rushcliffe Rob Lawton said: “A vital piece of equipment has been taken from the site and the actions of the suspected thieves has undoubtedly had a huge impact on workers.

“We are very keen to locate the digger. We always consider the possibility that machinery and equipment such as this may go on to be used as part of wider crime, and so our officers are committed to their investigation and are working tirelessly to help track it down.

“Anyone who saw anything suspicious or anyone with information is asked to get in touch on 101, quoting incident 494 of 2 August 2021.”
