A person has been hit by a train between Bedford and Kettering. This is disrupting trains on the London St Pancras – Corby – Nottingham – Sheffield route.
Network Rail and the emergency services have completed their work and lines have reopened.
East Midlands Trains said:
‘What is happening with the train service?
All of our trains on the route will be delayed, cancelled or revised until the service fully recovers.
‘At present, we do not have an estimate as to when a normal service will resume.
‘You may use your East Midlands Trains tickets on the following train operators and routes:
London Northwestern Railway between Northampton and London Euston
Northern between Sheffield and Doncaster
Thameslink between Bedford and London St Pancras
TransPennine Express between Sheffield and Doncaster
Virgin Trains East Coast between Doncaster / Grantham and London Kings Cross
We have organised buses to run between Wellingborough and Northampton for customers to connect with London Northwestern Railway services to / from London Euston.’
