A police visit led to three arrests after suspected Class A drugs were discovered inside a flat.
Response officers made the find after being called to a disturbance at a property in Lovers Lane, Newark.
After entering the address at around 4.30 pm on Tuesday (23 May), police spotted the occupants were acting suspiciously.
One officer then noticed a bag in the kitchen containing large quantities of cash, as well as a block of suspected cocaine.
Further searches were carried out, which uncovered around 25 deal bags of suspected Class A drugs, weighing scales and other drug paraphernalia.
Three people – a 21-year-old woman and two men, aged 41 and 22 – were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
Sergeant Hannah Meadows, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We were initially called to this property after receiving reports of a disturbance.
“Thanks to the alertness of my team, we were able to quickly spot and seize quantities of suspected Class A drugs.
“Nottinghamshire Police will not tolerate anyone deemed to be involved in drug-related activity in our communities and will take action, as we’ve demonstrated with this triple arrest.
“It should be noted however, that our inquiries are still ongoing into this incident, so we’d ask anyone who has any information relating to this to contact the police on 101, quoting incident 418 of 23 May 2023.”
